Lifford Women Community Organisation Show defiance in Lifford, the administrative capital of Donegal

The Lifford Women organisation held a 'Burn Your Bill' protest Sunday April 26, 2015 in Lifford, County Donegal. 
The group said " It was a fantastic protest today.  Thanks to all who showed up we really appreciate the support.
Also we would like to give a massive thank you to our speakers who travelled a four hour round-trip especially to be part of our burning - Micheal Mc Dermot from Cavan Says No To Water Charges, Mark McAuley from the 1Yi, The One Year Iniative & Frankie Mangan from Stick Your Water Meters.
We will return the favour & attend their groups protest at the end of May.

Thousands attend 'bin your bills' demonstration In Letterkenny April 25, 2015

According to Donegal News, Apr 25,  around 4,000 people marched through Letterkenny this afternoon to show their opposition to Irish Water and its efforts to charge for domestic water.  The protesters marched to Market Square where hundreds of people queued enthusiastically to bin their Irish Water bills in a blue bin provided by the organisers.

Earlier in the week Thomas Pringle, Independent TD, Donegal South West, had just received his Irish Water Bill.  he said on his facebook page " Got this today in the post. Will have an actual bill to bin on Saturday"
